Ishiagu Born Billionaire Gave The Highest Donation at Her Excellency Chief Mrs Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Nwifuru Pet Project

 

Abakaliki Block May Be Rich But Not To Compare Ndi Ishiagu.

In the people's oriented pet project of Her Excellency Chief Mrs Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Nwifuru that was launched yesterday being the 15th of November 2023 at the Christian Ecumenical Center Abakaliki which was tagged BETTER HEALTH FOR WOMEN, CHILDREN AND INTERNALLY DISPLACED FOUNDATION (BERWO) and has become the talk of the town. Many people are viewing the project from the different angles through which the project affected their lives either positively or otherwise. 

For me, I am fearlessly seeing it as a financial competition between the entire sons and daughters of  Abakaliki and Afikpo block which are the two cultural cum political blocks that make up Ebonyi State. Abakaliki block comprises of the eight local Governments that make up Ebonyi North and Ebonyi Central. They include Izzi, Ebonyi, Ohaukwu, Abakaliki, Ikwo, Ezza South, Ezza North and Ishielu local government while Afikpo block is divided into two which are the OHANIVO AND AFIKPO block. OHANIVO has three local governments which include OHAOZARA, ONICHA AND IVO while Afikpo has two Local Governments which are Afikpo North and South.

It was a matter of showcasing who is who in the control of economic prowess of the society. There was an assemblage of high profile politicians, business men and people from all walks of life. Infact, there was no high table in the occasion.

The Chief launcher was Chief Chibuike Orogwu aka Odogun Babyoku (MD/CEO CHUBY ZION GROUP OF COMPANIES). History has it that he is currently the richest man in the entire eight local governments of Abakaliki block. He actually came with a lot of his friends and the popular celebrity Bouncer of Kizz Daniel. Everybody was afraid of his highly rumoured financial muscle.

I had earlier enter into a gamble with my friends from Abakaliki over who will make the highest donation in the program. It was not easy as everybody was afraid of Babyoku. When the esteemed presence of High Chief Ifeanyi Clement Okorie (ENYI waa Uzo 1 OF ISHIAGU KINGDOM) was announced by the Master of the Ceremony MC, I stood from my end and walked round the whole hall for everyone to see and know that am from Ishiagu Kingdom. I also went to his end to confirm that it was him that came in person. I now went and sat down believing God and Ala-Isagu Okpu-ite for a miracle. 

When finally the project was unveiled and Babyoku mounted the podium with his friends to make donations. With his donation (10 million naira) and that of his friends, there was no hope of raising twenty million naira as at then. None of his friends gave more than two million naira.

I told my friend and former SA to the Governor on Street light (Hon Emma Odenigbo) that if paradventure the microphone touches the hands of Most High Chief Ifeanyi Clement Okorie (ENYI waa Uzo 1 OF ISHIAGU KINGDOM), that he can cough out a whooping some of Fifty million Naira. This is a man that singlehandedly tarred all the road in Ishiagu Kingdom without the interference of any government at any level. I supposed that he is currently the highest employer of labour in Ebonyi State if not south East and Nigeria at large considering the number of employees working in different areas of his engagements. His humanitarian projects are equal to none. Oloye akarigo onwunwa (meaning he is more than temptation).

To cut the whole story short, when he was handed over the microphone,  the way he was pronouncing money money caused the television to switch off and on by itself. There was a heavy quake in the hall and all the government officials stood in a high and classic ovation in honour of the sound of currency. He first used 30 Million to support the Hon. Minister of Works, he the used another 20 million to support Hon. Nkemkanma Kama (IJELE NDI IGBO and Hon. Member Representing OHANIVO federal constituency), he the used another 30 Million naira to support Her Excellency on his behalf. He gave back the microphone with a transfer of 80 million naira. At that moment, the everybody in that hall was standing in a high spirited ovation and the celebrity bouncer of Babylon approached me to know more about Oloye. He even to a photograph with me. 

Remember that the Government of Ebonyi State donated 100 million naira to support the program and this is after an individual who has not tasted government office has donated 80 million naira. Now that the list of donors are out at the government house, no individual donated close to half of what Oloye did.

On this note, I challenge Ndi Abakaliki block to produce one person that can compare Oloye or concede the fact that Ndi Ishiagu are richest clan in Ebonyi State.
