Hoodlums on Rampage in my community

 

A Very Difficult Moment For Me and My Family as Uncle Paul Ngara is Still Under House Arrest by Hoodlums 

Attention of the world over is hereby this chronicle drawn to the unfortunate happenstance in ANO Community where my Uncle (Hon Paul Igwe Ngara (JP)) who incidentally is the Chairman of Ngwogwo community is place under house arrest by known hoodlums for three (3) days now and counting.

Hostility resumed in Amokwe, Ngwogwo and Okue communities all in Ishiagu on Monday after the ANO Stone Dealers Association election saga. There is influx of new faces in the community as unconfirmed reports has it that some of us have been marked for elimination though laughable.

Uncle Paul called me this morning to narrate his ordeal. He said that the kind of heavy gunshots being displayed around his house on Saturday night has the capacity of pulling down the wall of Jericho. The bandits couldn't succeed in entering his compound but came back in the early hours of Sunday morning and pulled down his fence. Some people that ran to his house for safety wanted to resist them but the all set their guns to fire at them as usual. Our people now run for safety as many of them sustained varying degrees of injuries. 

The destroyed his car in the compound, destroyed virtually everything in the compound and inside the house. Hon. Paul ran into one of his rooms upstairs with bullet proof door and they couldn't break in. The ring leader came out and announced his house arrest and stationed some hoodlums to ensure that. This is three days yet no help. No food, no water, no medical attention.

This is a man that was recently released from a kidnappers den under heavy ransom. His is still undergoing rehabilitation as his health is deteriorating on daily basis. The way about of his wives and children are unaccounted for.

He has called the DPO IVO division and the compromised officer declined coming for his rescue citing that the place is not safe for him and his men. Gunshots are still sounding as at the time of writing this report.

This is too hard a burden to bear when your brothers and sisters are being held hostages just for the singular act of expressing their views.

How can we explain that the sponsors of these hoodlums can no longer control them and that they are commissioned to overrun Ndi ANO.
