  At Ikpa perishable and commodity market Nsukka today, more than five buses loaded  tomatoe Nsukka  to Umuahia Abia state and Gariki Enugu today  According to the marketers, Ikpa market is currently the biggest market for locally produced tomatoes in southeast especially between June and July as tens of buses and trucks loads daily to South East and South South states, what I saw today was just a fraction of what it used to be. Nsukka Tomato farmers intelligently schedules their harvesting to come before the northern and Cameroon harvesting thereby providing tomatoes to South East and south South during the period of scarcity.
